Hi! I’m Ashley Veselka. I live in San Francisco, California with my incredible husband John and our pets, Winston the dog and Mercury the cat. After handcrafting nearly everything for our own Vintage Texas Wedding and seeing such fabulous responses to my creations (including being a Real Wedding feature in The Knot Texas, coming out late in 2010!), I decided to open the owl&pear Etsy shop. I’ve become very immersed in the world of weddings, and it’s only natural, as it’s the process of creating the best experience possible for both the marrying couple and the guests. It’s creating an environment in both the big picture and the tiniest details.
I am a designer at heart – I always have been. I love all types of design – graphic, interior, architecture, product… And I am an improver of experiences. In my last professional incarnation, I was a User Experience Designer at Google, where I worked on a number of AdWords projects, including Google TV Ads, before moving to Google Apps, where I worked on a very cool project that I hope eventually sees the light of day.
